The folks at Charity Navigator take charity seriously and have created a helpful resource to help you figure how much you can afford to give to your favorite charity. With their "giving calculator," you can simply enter the amount you'd like to give and your federal tax bracket. The calculator displays the net cost of the donation and the tax savings.
