The SixSeeds Apple Giveaway
If you’re new to SixSeeds.tv, you may not know that we have an Apple problem surpassed only by Eve’s in the garden of Eden. We simply love technology, specifically any gadget that Steve Jobs creates. Most of us write our articles on MacBooks, have conference calls on iPhones, and listen to tunes on iPods – those SixSeeds writers who have Blackberries don’t fit in well socially here. (Yes, that means you Tom Walsh and Rebecca Cusey).
Some of you may know that this organization was created in part to stave off a sense of entitlement amidst our nation’s relative wealth. Yet, we are tempted – oh-so-tempted – to feel we simply must have the latest product, in spite of the fact that we realize there are inherent dangers in the constant acquisition of things.
For one, where to store all the cords and chargers?
For another, the sleek new toys make it all too easy to ignore the here and now (by texting during your daughter’s flute recital, not that I’m naming names) and missing some of life’s great moments.
So, this is part confession and part opportunity.
We confess that we are inordinately obsessed with the new iPad and are starting a series of musings about how technology (ideally) intersects with family life. We also realize that technology opens up new worlds – of information, community, and mobility -- to us that were previously unimaginable… even five years ago!
So, as we discuss the complexities of modern life, however, let’s have a little fun.
Introducing our first ever SixSeeds iPad Giveaway! We're giving awat brand new iPod Touches -- the funnest iPods ever which play music, videos, apps, and has a cool new design. But one first prize winner will get… drumroll please… “a magical and revolutionary product,” the new Wifi iPad, which honestly defies description. See it in action below.
Do we really think it’s magical?
Well, it’s probably about as magical as a piece of plastic and metal can be, so why not try to win one?
The Apple has never been more tempting. Well, at least since that unfortunate garden incident.

I can't believe they made something that now makes my iPhone seem small and insignificant. Why is Apple doing this to us???
