Eighth Day in Uganda

SixSeeds friend Andy Mills has created "The 5810 Project," predicated on the belief that while “teaching a man to fish” will provide him with a fish diet for a lifetime, it will not lead him out of poverty. To escape poverty people need to develop sustainable business activities. The 5810 Project’s vision is to help people build businesses and break the poverty cycle in Uganda. SixSeeds will be posting portions of blogs from our friends as they go through this journey.

We arrived in Entebbe Airport this morning after a wonderful farewell breakfast with the Coppedges. At the breakfast, Andy and I were able to share the stories we have learned! When we landed, Lisa Fish was there to pick us up. We then went to lunch at Khana Khazana, Andy’s favorite Indian restaurant, with a couple who is in the process of adopting a baby from here in Kampala. After lunch, Lisa took us to some shops where we could buy some gifts for back home. After the shopkeepers had persuaded Ted and I to buy everything they had, we went to check-in to the hotel.  Ted was not feeling well.
