Fourth Day in Uganda

SixSeeds friend Andy Mills has created "The 5810 Project," predicated on the belief that while “teaching a man to fish” will provide him with a fish diet for a lifetime, it will not lead him out of poverty. To escape poverty people need to develop sustainable business activities. The 5810 Project’s vision is to help people build businesses and break the poverty cycle in Uganda. SixSeeds will be posting blogs from our friends as they go through this journey.

The second day of Business Vision Arua 2009 went just as well as the first day. We believe that Isaac’s purpose for this seminar, to give the Aruan business people a vision for business, was very successful. Andy and Ted were again able to convey their business teachings clearly and accurately to about 50 business people. The business people were again enthusiastic and interested. They all were ready to listen and learn.
We had our regular two tea times per day and were energized throughout the day, however, when we arrived back at the hotel, we were exhausted and ready for sleep. After watching another beautiful, Ugandan sunset, and speaking with the owner of the hotel, Hillary, who had been at the seminar, we headed to bed, getting energized for church on Sunday morning.
