5:04

Months ago, I’d get up at 6:30AM, each day wishing I could sleep a little more.  Some of the kids would be up already and Annalise, with the earliest school start, needed to be out the door by 7:15.   I’d slowly drag out of bed and make my way to the kitchen….always at least slightly tired as most moms are.

These days for no apparent reason, I look over at the clock each morning, eyes alert and find it’s 5:04.  I’m not one bit groggy, but I stay in bed  “thinking” about nothing in particular and then finally get up, sometimes over an hour later.

I’m changing my ways.

Yesterday, I went on a three mile early AM run and today, I’m writing this blog.

If the clock strikes 5:04, from now on, I’m getting up.

I’ll let you know how it works… after I grab a cup of coffee.
