Over the weekend

I always love it when the weekend comes.  At the dinner table sometime before Sunday, it might be the perfect time to engage the kids in a meaningful conversation about volunteerism and service.  “How to Raise an American” suggests these conversation starters:

1.    Ask your kids, if they won a million dollars in the lottery, how much would they keep and how much would they give to help others?  Who would they give it to and why?
2.    Another angle to explore: Who does more to help people – private individuals or the government?  Do they help in different ways?

Have a great weekend, guys!
