Why would someone give of themselves to oversee a large food distribution center, when it would be far easier just to write a check? "What else would I do?" is the answer BJ Buntrock gave.
Her work at the Pantry of Broward , in Broward County, Florida, shows her tireless commitment to the nutritional needs of elderly county residents. Importantly, it also shines a light on the estimated 2.5 million grandparents who are caring for their own grandchildren, themselves unsung heroes. One of the recipients of the food boxes has no idea who the generous soul is behind the work. "BJ? It's not one of the Jacksons, is it?"
