If you were friends with Tony Dungy on Facebook, you might have already read this:

August 3rd is the release of my new book The Mentor Leader. I'm headed to New York tomorrow to begin a promotional tour that will go for 10 days. It starts with an appearance on the Today Show Tuesday morning. Tune in if you get a chance. I'll keep you posted as to where I'll be next.

If you were friends with Tony Dungy in real life, you might be packing your bags to go with him!  Nathan Whitaker, a friend and contributor to SixSeeds is not only Tony's friend he's his co-author for his best-selling books.

Tony, of course, is the retired coach for the Indianapolis Colts who became the first African American coach to win a Super Bowl. He's also one of the most respected and popular NFL coaches in the league and the co-author of the best selling  hard cover sports books of all time!

He's written

Quiet Strength

Uncommon

and his new book is The Mentor Leader which will be released tomorrow.  Pre-order it today, or better yet, follow his media tour which will include 12 cities in eight states.

In addition to 18 book signings, he'll be on:

NBC’s The Today Show

MSNBC’s Morning Joe

The Huckabee Show on FOX

FOX News Channel’s On the Record with Greta Van Susteren and Hannity

ESPN television and radio shows including SportsCenter, Mike and Mike in the Morning, First Take and ESPNews

NFL Network

NPR’s Morning Edition

The Alan Colmes Show on FOX News Radio

K-LOVE Mornings with Lisa & Eric

American Family Radio’s Today’s Issues

and various local-market radio, television and print interviews.

And co-author Nathan will be there the whole way.  Want to find out what the Today Show serves in the green room? Follow this tour on our Raindrop blog, and hope at least they serve a good supply of caffeine.  I think he might need to drink coffee all day trying to keep up with Tony's schedule!
