Update from Tijuana

Many in our SixSeeds community have read of the earthquake which struck the Tijuana and California border region, and measured 7.2 on the Richter scale. (Link)   As many of our SixSeeds friends have been very supportive of the deeply challenged communities of Tijuana (link), we wanted to share with you the relatively encouraging news provided by the head of Mexican World Vision operations (our partner in Tijuana) that the communities we partner with have generally not been harmed.

While our prayers are with those in Mexico and California who have been adversely affected by the earthquake, we wanted to pass along the information (along with our gratitude) that our friends in Las Palmas have been spared.

Many in our SixSeeds community have read about the earthquake that struck the California/Mexico border region on Sunday, and measured 7.2 on the Richter scale. (USGS report here, initial LA Times story here.)

Many of our SixSeeds friends know of our efforts in Tijuana, and many of you have joined us in supporting the deeply challenged communities of near the border. So we wanted to share with you the relatively encouraging news provided by the head of operations for World Vision in Mexico (SixSeeds' partner for the Tijuana project) that the communities we partner with have generally not been harmed.

While we are grateful that our friends in the Las Palmas community have been spared, our prayers are with all those in Mexico and California who have been adversely affected by the earthquake.

If you'd like to help the school-age children in Tijuana, please  the video below about our SixSeeds Pack-It Project.
