Looking for a way to bring the spirit of giving to your workplace?
A group of corporate professionals at Affiliated Managers Group, Inc. did just that by adopting Seed Pack-it as its holiday service project. Gathering contributions for 135 Pack-its, the Company’s legal department led the Company-wide project to get everyone involved.
AMG responded with great enthusiasm. The date was set, the Pack-its ordered, and on December 17, employees from all areas of the Company gathered in the Boardroom for a Seed Pack-it packing party!
With an assembly line of Pack-it materials lining both sides of the Boardroom table, the enthusiastic crowd made quick work of the Pack-its, which included a special holiday card created by participants. By the next morning the stuffed back-packs were on their way to California to be trucked to Mexico.
The contributions of AMG employees were matched by SixSeeds, bringing the total for the project to 270 back-packs, and with each back-pack valued at $60, over $16,000 in goods donated to the children of Tijuana.
