Miracle

Synopsis:  When one sees "Disney" and "Hockey" on the poster the results have been suspect (Mighty Ducks I-VI).  This treatment is vast departure.  Focused on achieving the impossible -- defeating the Soviet Union's unbeaten hockey team at the 1980 Winter Olympics -- brash U.S. hockey coach Herb Brooks (Kurt Russell) unites a motley group of college athletes and turns them into a force to be reckoned with. Based on an improbable true story that shocked the world.

Upside:  Great performance by Kurt Russell.  Remarkably suspenseful even though I knew the outcome.  Felt the goose bumps all over again.  So did my 8 year old.

Downside:  If you are Russian you will feel the stinging pang of defeat all over again.

Clippity Clip: 25 years ago Herb Brooks delivered this speech (or a version of it).

This little kid is hilarious!

It shows how easily kids can memorize things!

I missed out on my opportunity.

I especially like "I'm sick of tired..."
