John Kingston

John is in the investment management industry, serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Affiliated Managers Group, a publicly traded asset management company.  When John isn’t taking care of his day job responsibilities and important family roles (with his wonderful wife Jean Kingston and the other seeds, Caitlin, Annalise, Christopher and William), he tries to advance a variety of initiatives with a wonderful group of partners and friends across the cultural, service, and political landscapes – but SixSeeds (which John founded with Jean) is definitely the biggest adventure yet!  At all times, he never fails to follow all the important sporting events, both locally (in Winchester, with the Kingston children), in Boston (with the beloved Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots), and around the country and world.

John graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988 with a B.A. in Social Theory and B.S. Econ. from the Wharton School of Business, and from Harvard Law School in 1994.
